Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026 (Beta)

bizzibody is a community safety reporting platform. It lets you record and share experiences on New Zealand streets — hazards, incidents, and positive experiences — so that patterns become visible and communities can act on them.

These terms explain what you're agreeing to when you use it.

1. Who can use this service

You must be 16 or older to use bizzibody.

bizzibody is currently in public beta. That means it's still being developed and tested. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable.

2. What you can submit

You can submit reports about road safety experiences — things you've witnessed or experienced as a pedestrian, cyclist, driver, micro-mobility or public transport user.

Please only submit:

Please don't submit:

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines.

3. How your report is used

When you submit a report, a summary may appear on the public map. The map shows the category, transport mode, general location, time of day (morning, afternoon, evening, or night), and tags associated with the report e.g. 'near miss' or 'pothole'. No personally identifiable information is shown on the map.

Your report may also be used in aggregate to identify patterns, support transport planning, or inform public safety work.

De-identified copies of your report content may also be used to improve and develop the platform and the systems behind it. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Anonymous submissions

You don't need an account to submit a report. All internal reports displayed on the public map are anonymous by design.

If you submit a report without an account, your report is linked to a device token stored in your browser's local storage. This token expires after 90 days. After that, the link between your device and your report is removed — but the report itself remains part of the public record.

5. Forwarding reports to external authorities

bizzibody lets you draft and send reports to external organisations, such as NZ Police Community Roadwatch and WCC Fixit. These reports may include personal details you provide (such as your name and contact information) so that the authority can follow up with you.

When you submit a report to an external authority:

Each external authority has its own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review these before submitting:

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting a report, you grant Bamboo Creative Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content for the purposes described in these terms and our Privacy Policy. This includes using de-identified copies of your content to operate, improve, and develop the platform and the systems behind it, such as improving transcription, report generation, and location accuracy, building evaluation datasets, and training or fine-tuning AI models. To the extent it covers de-identified copies, this licence continues even if you later delete your account or personal information.

Voice recordings are transcribed and then permanently deleted. The transcription and structured data extracted from it become part of your report.

7. Beta disclaimer

bizzibody is in active development. We do our best to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access or that everything will work perfectly.

We're not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from use of the platform during the beta period. Feedback is genuinely welcome — it helps us improve.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops. If we make significant changes, we'll note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

9. Contact

bizzibody is operated by Bamboo Creative Ltd, based in Wellington, New Zealand.
